T.V. Ballance was an Irish artist from Dublin who specialized in motor-racing paintings and sketches from the 1930's to the 1970's. A devoted husband and father of seven children, he somehow found time for his art while working as a senior civil servant with the Department of Posts & Telegraphs, now Telecom Eireann.
He was regularly commissioned by publications such as Brookland Books and Motoring Life while also carrying out works for Martell and the Leinster Motor Club.
In addition to his motor-racing paintings, Thomas also loved to capture the landscapes of Ireland in watercolour.
This website has been created by his family to memorialize not only a very talented artist, but also a great husband, father and friend.
